  About 6-7 months ago, I had one of my dogs disappear from home.... MINDY was gone! Posted on FB, Craigslist, everywhere I could..... about 4-5 months later I received email letting me know 'I think this might be your dog', picture was included! I was afraid to believe it was her. Then 2 other emails different people, wondering if 'is this your dog'?
  
  Well, lo and behold, it was MY MINDY! The photographer that helps out and takes pictures of dogs waiting to be adopted routinely takes pictures and turns out when he saw my MINDY, he recalled seeing picture of a "LOST" posting.... he took the time to check it out. He felt that it was the same dog!!!! I was still afraid to really believe it could be her, but wow the picture he took seemed to be her.... Went to the Shelter and told them the story, they asked for proof of ownership, which I had plenty, see, MINDY was a rescue from MDAS(Miami-Dade Animal Shelter, Miami, FL), which is why I had so much info./pictures of her.... YES, it was my MINDY! Residents of Nashville, NC, called in to let them know there was a dog at their town, one area, that kept chasing/barking at passing cars. They feared she would get killed! THANKS for their call to the Shelter! I believe MINDY was looking for MOM to pick her up, poor baby!!!! They were very nice and happy to see that MINDY was with rightful owner....
  
  There is another thing: They did not find her 'chip'.... SEE, remember that these 'chips' move around in the dogs body, so I told them to check around. They checked several times and finally found it.... PLEASE have them search for the CHIP several times! I felt the shelter was small, etc..., but it's not their fault.... it falls on how much a COUNTY cares about the Shelter and what kind or size of BUDGET they ask for from the STATE....
  
  MAKE donations, help them out.... I am very grateful, particularly to the photographer..... GOD BLESS!
  
  MINDY is happy and though still gets under fence and goes to visit neighbors across the road and their dogs, she ALWAYS comes back home, since she learned that doesn't need to wait for MOM to go get her, that she can come back and MOM will be waiting to open the door!
